5th Annual Cornerstone University Womens Leadership Conference
Thursday, 11 February 2010 05:20
This past weekend was our 5th Annual Cornerstone University Women’s Leadership Conference. It was WONDERFUL! My dear friend, Liz Curtis Higgs came from Kentucky with her husband Bill to be our keynote speaker. Her teaching on the character of Ruth as a leader was powerful. I am shaking my head right now, wondering how I could have laughed so hard and learned so much at the same time! The music was extraordinary and the workshops were all designed with leadership development in mind. The best part was seeing the women who attended so joyful about just being there—worshiping—soaking up the teaching and networking together. As our committee met month after month to pray, plan, and at times beg God for more funding, I would try to focus ahead as to “why” we put all those months of effort into that one special weekend.  And, there they were. All those women—eager to be inspired, trained and equipped to use their best gifts for the Kingdom of God! Dear Lord—it was wonderful! Let’s do it again next year!
“God I am your servant. Help me understand what that means, the inner meaning of your instructions…Break open your words. Let the light shine out. Let ordinary people see the meaning.” (That would be me, Lord.)      Psalm 119:125,130 The Message
